Photos only. Traktor S4 in the house! 4 decks of control in one controller. What an awesome way to create crazy soundscapes with a hands-on feel. Some folks use it to mix tunes, but I see it as a 4-track looper that can playback at varispeed, scratch to your heart's content, browse what files you're loading in, has incredible sync function, etc. etc. No more burning CD's to my Numark CDX just to get some scratch sounds. And there's a record button right there waiting to collect whatever spontaneous creation that just materialized. At one point, I was going to get the Vestax TR-1 instead, but this is even better. The S4 has its own audio outs too, so for example, I could load up samples from CL516 Blog, come up with some weird soundscapes, feed the S4 into a Biscuit or Sherman, etc. treat it like an instrument, you get the idea. Very exciting stuff!
interesting thought about using hardware in a different way. I am thinking though - wouldn't ableton live + some pads do a similar thing?

Agreed: Live + some pads probably would do the same thing. That's why I ended up RETURNING the S4. Also, NI Customer Support is just plain unhelpful and very unfriendly.
